Do I need a licensed architect to build my new house or is there a cheaper alternative?

In most instances you do not need a licensed architect, depending on the size of the house. According to the State of Nebraska Board of Architects and Engineers statutes, a single-family residence up to 10,000 square feet can be designed by associate (unlicensed) architects.

Approximately how long would it take to get a full set of blueprints for an average size house with a basement and garage?

Average turnaround time for blueprints is anywhere from one week to two weeks, depending on the size of the home and timing of the request.

Is there a limit to how many changes I can make to my set of blueprints?

Fees include up to two (2) revisions per project. Additional charges may be incurred for revisions over two, depending on the circumstances.

Is there a minimum fee for small projects like designing a deck or maybe a kitchen?

Fees vary from project to project, so an estimate is provided before any services are performed.

Do you carry insurance in case there is a problem?
